Streamlined Roster Downloads
We've migrated all high school and college rosters to cloud storage and made it simple to download multiple teams with a single click. Over 9,000 high school and college teams available.
Staff Management
Ever had to look for a parent volunteer or assistant coach email address or phone number? Add all that contact information -- name, email, phone number -- into Takedown Scoring and Stats and even send an email from within the app. Add a title -- head coach, assistant coach, manager, trainer or parent -- and you have all program-related contact information in one place.
Equipment Management
End-of-season equipment return is an administrative headache. Now for each wrestler track issue and return dates for up to eight different pieces of loaned equipment. Whether it's headgear, shoes or a singlet, you'll know to whom it was issued and when, and the return date. Even add your own detailed note to each item. Make life easier at season's end.
Notes
Sometimes a coach just wants to jot down a note about a specific wrestler, match, opponent, event or an entire season. Release 2.0 lets you keep those notes organized and in one place -- on your iPad! Does your 132 pounder need to work on single leg defense? Add a note. Scouted your cross-town rival and noticed their 120 pounder has a mean ankle pick? Add a note to that wrestler. Was the Tri-Valley Annual Pinfest a fun, well-managed tournament (with a delicious coach hospitality room)? Add a note to that event. Forget about looking around for a notebook or scrap of paper -- all that valuable info is in one place and at your fingertips.
My Team
We've consolidated all non-scoring information into a single item: My Team. With this simpler user interface, manage your schedule, event and roster in one place. Also, we've implemented an "Opponent Team" feature for managing opposing teams and associated wrestlers.
Social
All platforms for live score streaming -- Takedown LIVE, Twitter and Facebook -- are conveniently in the same place called Social. Takedown Scoring and Stats is the market-leading platform for streaming live wrestling scoring to mobile and desktop users. Now it's easier to manage how and when live scoring is streamed to your fans.
Good luck this season and thanks for using Takedown Scoring and Stats.

New Injury and Riding Time Clocks
Takedown now offers a full set of injury and riding time clocks for each wrestler. These clocks, appearing on the Match Scoring page, can be hidden or viewed at the user's discretion by swiping the associated tab. When a clock is tapped, the match scoring clock stops and an appropriate notation appears in the scoring matrix. The clocks are cumulative (except for recovery) and user adjustable. When a clock approaches its maximum allowable value, a visual cue appears on-screen. Here's an example of the new clocks in action:
For college, each wrestler has a riding time clock and riding time advantage is automatically calculated and displayed. Riding time advantage is noted at the end of each period:
Enhanced Digital Scoreboard
Takedown's digital scoreboard got a makeover! The presentation is easier to read at a distance, a change many officials will find helpful:
Also, when an injury is scored, the associated clock displays on the scoreboard. The normal scoreboard presentation reappears when the injury event concludes:
In-Depth Performance Stats for each Wrestler
Takedown's new Wrestler Profile report collects existing stats into a single page presentation of wrestler performance. In addition, new stats allow a coach to answer the question: "what's the chance of this wrestler getting a Takedown?"
Scoring and Weigh-In Improvements
Release 1.7 offers a variety of enhancements to the Event and Match Scoring pages:
Undo choice and previous period simplifies error-correction
Edit opponent name after match ends
Random draw generated random weight class for starting dual meet
Copy weigh-ins from another event
Single page weigh-in form for both teams in dual meet

Pricing
Takedown 1.7 is available now on the App Store. With this new release, the price for scoring a match is ten cents for high school and slightly higher for college. In October, match prices in Release 1.6 (and earlier) will change to reflect the current 1.7 pricing.

Takedown Scoring and Stats Release 1.4
Sometimes, a single instance of Takedown isn't enough to capture all the scoring activity.
At tournaments, multiple wrestlers from the same team compete at the same time. Or, the varsity and junior varsity teams compete at different events on the same day.
In both cases, scoring information would need to be manually transferred to one of the iPads running Takedown. There must be a better way!
Release 1.4 to the Rescue!
With this release, Takedown now offers a simple way to share data between multiple iPads. Data from an entire Season is exported from one Takedown instance to another using email and the iPad's "Open in..." capability. An exported Season contains a roster, schedule and all matches scored in that Season.
Generally speaking, an imported Season fills in the blanks; that is, the Season you're importing will generally not overwrite existing information. But, if your database is "missing" information, then data from the imported Season will be used. The details are surprisingly complex and there are some exceptions. But, that's the gist of it.
Export the Season to your Colleagues
Select the Season for sharing with other users:
Tap the sharing arrow to the right of the Seasons button:
Enter the email addresses of the person(s) with whom you want to share the data and press "Send."
Importing the Season
After long tapping on the email attachment and selecting "Open in Takedown", you'll see the following:
Any of the labels with a ">" can be tapped for more information. If you're satisfied with the results, tap "Save." If you change your mind, tap cancel.
Common Applications
Here are a few scenarios for using Takedown's data sharing feature:
At the start of the season one person creates a new season, adds a schedule, and creates or updates the roster and then shares it with other team scorers
At any time, the person with the definitive Takedown scoring database exports a season to one or more Takedown users
One person scores a dual meet and shares it with other team scorers
Multiple scorers attend a tournament. One person fills in the weigh in information and then shares it with the rest of the scorers
During or after a tournament, scorers want to consolidate tournament matches on their respective iPads
Sharing Season data with multiple users scoring for the same team
A user wants to backup one or more Seasons
You might find other uses for Takedown's data sharing feature.
Important Caveat
Unless the Season on your iPad and the Season you're importing have identical names and start/end dates, a new Season will be created. If you want to augment an existing Season with the imported data, make sure the names, start/end dates are identical.
Data sharing makes it easy to use Takedown in situations where multiple wrestlers on the same team are competing simultaneously. And, just in time for the season!
