Takedown Scoring and Stats
Known Issues

Current release: 3.4.1 (10/16/2024)

  • 10/28/24 — video won’t upload to YouTube because of exceeding quota. This is unrelated to the daily upload limit on your YouTube account which you can fix. This is a Takedown-wide quota that we negotiate with Google.
    Workaround: none.
Plan: We are actively working with Google to secure adequate quota.

  • 10/28/24 — Videos appear to be local but they aren’t. They’re in iCloud. During upload to YouTube, this can cause excessive delays as the video first has to be downloaded from iCloud before it can be uploaded to YouTube.
Workaround: don’t use iCloud. It creates multiple problems that are frustrating, unexpected and difficult to diagnose. Turn iCloud off.
Plan: none. Turn iCloud off on your Takedown iPads.

  • 10/28/24 — Videos disappear from iCloud after deletion from device.
Workaround: If you delete the local video copy, that deletion persists to all your connected devices and iCloud. Do not use iCloud to backup your videos. That’s the way iCloud works. If you want to keep a copy of your original Takedown-recorded videos, find a different method — Dropbox, Google Photos, Google Drive, copy to computer or external drive — for retaining your original Takedown-recorded videos.
Plan: none, this is a iCloud limitation (or feature!).

  • 10/22/24 — Crash after launch.
Workaround: delete the app and re-download from App Store.
    Plan: none.

  • 10/22/24 — Takedown LIVE for Android is not available for download on Google Play. Existing installations work fine.
    Workaround: none
Plan: this is an administative issue with Google. Expect Takedown LIVE back on Google Play by Nov 1.

  • 9/20/24 — Flagrant Misconduct implementation is incorrect.
Workaround: score the -3 team points via Team Point Deduction
    Plan: fix in next release.

  • 1/24/23 — enabling ‘Guided Access’ iOS feature will cause a crash in Scoring
Workaround: don’t enable ‘Guided Access’ iOS feature in iPad Settings
    Plan: investigating

  • 1/21/24 — a match has a PIN but the match result is reported as a decision
Workaround: rescore the match or reach out to us and we can fix in the database
    Plan: fix in future release

  • 1/12/24 — Roster or Opponent Team wrestler edits are not reflected if the wrestler is already loaded as a competitor in Scoring. This does not impact how the wrestler names are saved when the match is complete.
Workaround: reselect the wrestler in Scoring
    Plan: fix in future release.

  • 1/12/24 — when using an external camera, the image in the viewport is flipped on its vertical axis. This can be disorienting. It does not impact the recorded video, just the image in the viewport
    Workaround: none
    Plan: fix in future release.

  • 12/3/23 — a customer reports data synchronization problem between iPads. Unknown if this is impacting additional users. The on-screen error looks like this.
Workaround: none. We can fix it on our side.
Plan: If you encounter, please send email to support@levelchanger.com.

  • 11/30/23 — for Signing Up for Takedown, icloud.com email address doesn’t work.
Workaround: use another email address. A team-focused, Gmail address works best
Plan: none. This is a limitation of our authorization and authentication services platform.

  • 11/2/23 — state-specific weight classes in Settings do not automatically update with the most recent value.
Workaround: force-quit Takedown and relaunch to load any state-specific changes
    Plan: improve in future release.

  • 10/25/22 — Scoreboard display is stretched vertically or horizontally when using Apple AV adapter.
Workaround: Takedown>>Settings>>Scoreboard, turn the scoreboard off/on once or twice.
    Plan: none.

  • 6/3/22 — changing your My Team name may not persist to your Takedown LIVE presentation
Workaround: let us know at support@levelchanger.com and we can manually fix. You can also manually configure your Takedown LIVE appearance in Takedown>>Settings>>Takedown LIVE.
    Plan: none
